Glembring 1.8kw

Glembring 1.8kw Diesel Heater

There are three different sizes of heaters. These have capacities from 0.5 kW as the lowest effect and up to appr. 12 kW feeding effect as maximum. The principal function is a carburettor burner, which feeds diesel, or fuel oil mixed with air into the fuel bed. A regulator controls that the correct fuel-air mixture is fed into the heater. With this regulator one can increase or decrease the effect of the heater.

Options include a heating coil and front sight glass.

Option: Central heating system

By equipping the heater with a copper coil in the combustion chamber it is possible to continuously heat water which circulates in a central heating system. Thus separate accommodation can be heated even if they are not directly connected. Further more, it is possible to get a more event temperature in larger areas, because radiators or convectors efficiently distribute the heat. In such a system one must assemble expanding tanks, and in most cases circulation pumps to circulate the hot water. It is important to assemble sufficient numbers of convectors in order to use the effect of the heater to its maximum. If neglecting the water temperature will increase and the risk of boiling will occur. Below you will find description of these fittings.

Touch protection

The heater can be equipped with grate of aluminium as touch protection for both the body of the heater and the hot plate. The stack gas tubes are also equipped with grates of aluminium. These round grates can be fitted when the tubes have been assembled. Other kinds of safety devices are also available. Vertical surfaces have a maximum temperature of 80 °C, and horizontal surfaces have a maximum temperature of 150 °C. The heater can also be equipped with touch protection of acid proof metal with punched air holes. This design is meant for marine purposes, but can of course be used when, from an ecstatic point of view, a dim surface of the heater is desired.

Stack gas tubes

The stack gas tubes have the diameters 70, 90-, 120- and 150-mm depending on the size of the heater. The tubes can be joined together without any tools and still have an airtight joint.

It is recommended to assemble a cover at the end of the stack gas tube, which will prevent rain and snow from entering the chimney.

Fuel connections

For a permanent assemblage a copper pipe is used. This is connected to a suitable fuel tank and ends with a connection to the regulator with a so-called clamp coupling. For normal fuel a copper pipe with an internal diameter of 6-mm is suitable.
