ExCel show on the up!

This years ExCel boatshow saw a new layout that certainly ticked alot of the boxes.  The new watersports arena kept visitors entertained together with the brushboarding. The South hall was now 100% packed with boats with the North hall being a mixture of companies offering sailing holidays, clothing, chandlers and specialist product suppliers such as ourselves. We had the new Wallas range of DT heaters at the show and they really created a stir. A unit that is so quiet and needs little power to run, it certainly impressed and advanced orders were taken. We still find that many look to go gas free for their boating, not just for safety sake but for ease. Having heating and cooking appliances that run from your main fuel tank makes life so much easier. So having the DT heater together with a diesel hob gave them that choice. The Victron Energy products were still as popular as ever. Multiplus inverters/chargers together with a full complement of agm or gel batteries will certainly look after your power needs onboard. The range has grown over the years and this year will see even more products added!

In addition the boat show there was the ‘Outdoor/Bike' show which joined up on the North hall for the last few days which added another dimension to the show and gave visitors (and exhibitors) even more ideas on how to spend their leisure time on land.

One noteable element missing was the Inland Waterways - and commented on by many who visited our stand in the hope that we could point them in the direction of the Narrowboats. We failed and pointed them in the direction of the black & white bar instead.  Maybe next year....
