The power supply is not sufficient, but you still want the comfort of central heating onboard? It can be done with the E&S series central heating boilers.
By using ingenious techniques they can heat your boat comfortably without using electricity. For this reason these oil-fired boilers are equipped with very reliable mechanical fuel regulators made especially for use on boats and with the traditional vaporizing burners. If a system that can run without power (thermo siphon system) cannot be achieved then Kuranda can supply 12 & 24Vdc and 230Vac circulation pumps to suit. Apart from the physical dimensions the heat capacity is the main difference between the E and S series boilers. The S series boilers use two burners to achieve the higher capacity. In spring and autumn the S series boiler may be operated using a single burner, so a smaller capacity is realised. Safety on board has first priority. Kabola pay a great deal of attention to the safety of its boilers. For this reason all models are equipped with an oil leak tray, a draught limiting valve, flame failure device and over boil protection device.
Current consumption: None unless the system is fitted with a low power circulation pump. Kuranda can supply 12Vdc, 24Vdc (Bolin Pump) 230Vac circulation pumps if required. A fuel supply pump can also be supplied if gravity feed is not available.
Kabola twin wall stainless flue, most narrowboats need a 1m (KMK14-N001) and a 1/2 meter (KMK14-N002) section of flue. You will also need a stainless steel conversion piece (single wall KMK20-U020).
You will need to order our 80mm Flue kit (KMK20-U002). This consists of a brass dress ring for the inside, a through deck fitting which is in stainless and is tack welded on opposite sides, this is to take up the deck angle and needs to be fully welded. You also get a blanking cap and a twin wall outer chimney (black power coated stainless steel) with a anti downdraught cowl.
