A single compact 50 panel is usually capable of keeping larger battery banks charged and to power lights, a bilge pump and low to medium power electronics. With several panels connected in an array heavier loads like a refrigerator can be supported.

Mounting: The panels are semirigid, they bend very slightly (about 3-4%). If necessary use marine grade mouldings under the edges to compensate for cam. The panels can be mounted using bonding with 3M VHB double sided tape, epoxy or polyurethane adhesive/sealant which tolerate high temperatures, salt water, vibration and shocks. Four holes are provided for mounting screws, additional holes can be drilled along the white border. Wires are intentionally short so they can pass through two 3.5 mm (9/64") holes, after which they are spliced to heavier gauge cable for the run to the batteries.
