Fuel Gauge and Sender
Our most popular level sensor for use in diesel fuel tanks is designed to fit into a threaded bush in the bottom of the tank.
The thread is ¼ BSP. We would suggest that this is isolated with a shut-off valve to assist removal should this be necessary. These units are normally calibrated by the customer after filling the tank. 35mm clearance is required to screw the unit into the tank. (The connector plug unplugs).
The level gauge indicates the liquid level in the tank as it empties. The gauge itself can be located anywhere in the boat. Accurate and simple installation.
This fuel level sensor will operate on either 12v or 24v D.C.
These products meet the requirements of the Boat Safety Scheme for diesel fuel when installed according to the instructions provided.
The heart of our new range of Tank Level Gauges is a stainless steel industrial grade pressure transducer – pictured left. The stainless steel diaphragm ensures that no fluids come into contact with the sensing element ensuring maximum reliability. This transducer is packaged in various forms of the housing making sure that there is a system to suit your application. The result of the measurement of the fluid level is, first of all, averaged over a period of time, and then displayed on our new illuminated graphics gauge.
The gauge features a twenty segment display with backlighting to ensure clarity even in dark corners, plus a warning triangle that flashes as tank contents approach critical levels.
